A Pakua (Bagua) mirror is an octagonal Feng Shui amulet featuring the eight trigrams (Bagua) around a central mirror. It’s traditionally hung outside, above or over the front door, to deflect negative energy (“poison arrows” from sharp structures, busy streets, corners, T‑junctions, and so on)

  • Shape & Frame

    • Octagonal – eight trigrams representing natural elements (heaven, earth, fire, water, etc.) .

    • Frames are usually wood, metal, or bronze; colors like red, gold, green, and black are common—each symbolizing vitality, wealth, balance .

  • Mirror Types

    • Flat (Plane): Good for general deflection of harmful energy.

    • Convex (bulging outward): Reflects and repels strong negative energy—use only outdoors and ideally with feng shui guidance.

    • Concave (curving inward): Draws beneficial chi into the home or “absorbs” negative energy; also for outdoor use.
